Whirlwind Magician (Preview Page)

Whirlwind Magician is a Metroidvania platformer where you throw a talking hat like a boomerang! Discover unique powers like teleporting to it, summoning a vortex, and more that will help you escape from a dangerous magic forest.

This game is currently in development and planned to release in Early 2024.

Two Bickering Protagonists
After the bubbly and mischievous young girl Viola finds herself trapped in a magic forest, Gibson -a grumpy talking witch hat- reluctantly agrees to help her escape. He does so by acting as her sole form of defense against aggressive pixies, beetles, and other weird creatures. These characters’ contrasting personalities bring humor and charm to every cutscene!
But why are the creatures of the forest so hostile? There may be something dark hidden within...

Unique Hat-Based Powers
Throwing Gibson as a boomerang-like projectile is your main ability as Viola and you will find other abilities that expand upon this action like teleporting to Gibson after throwing him or conjuring a magic vortex at his location. It’s up to you to figure out how to use these powers to get through the game’s many challenges.
